The Grimsey Lab - Defining the Atypical in Health and Disease

When, where, and why?

All facets of life, from embryonic development to the onset and progression of diseases are driven by intricate signaling networks. Our team is focused on defining the molecular mechanisms that regulate these pathways.

Novel therapeutic targets

Our primary focus centers around the understudied atypical p38 kinase signaling pathway. Using a wide array of cell and molecular biology techniques we are exploring how this pathway is activated, how it controls pathophysiology, and exploring innovative approaches to suppress atypical p38.
